The CAG report reasons that lack of space for trains on the stations is the biggest cause of train delays. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction (earlier Mughalsarai Jn.), New Delhi, Delhi, Kanpur, Allahabad, Mathura, Howrah, Jaipur, Bhopal, Itarsi, Ahmedabad, Vijayawada, Chennai Central and Nagpur­across 10 railway zones and found that of the 164 platforms, only 100 had the capacity to park a competition success review train having 24 or more coaches.
